The CASTEL-MINI II is a compact focusing rack for DSLR and mirrorless cameras which can be attached to an Arca-pattern quick release. It's a very useful aid for macro photography, because at very close distances normal focusing with a lens becomes difficult or impossible. To focus, the complete camera/lens assembly needs to be moved backwards and forwards, and a rack enables this to be achieved easily and quickly. The Castel-Mini II uses the same precise rack and pinion system as the larger CASTEL racks to give 100mm of movement. The camera position can be locked on the rack.
